Domain privacy protection
Keep your personal contact details out of the public record, at no cost.
On this page
When you register a domain, some of your contact details can appear in the public WHOIS directory. Privacy protection hides them, and it is free on domains that support it.
What privacy protection does
With privacy protection on, your personal name, address, phone number and email are replaced with protected details in the public record. This helps reduce spam and keeps your information private. Your ownership doesn’t change.
Not every extension supports privacy
Some registries require certain details to stay public, so privacy isn’t available for every extension. Where it is available, Dotweb includes it for free.
Turn it on or off
To turn privacy protection on or off for a domain you own, contact support and tell us which domain. Your domains are listed in the client area (opens in a new tab) under Products & Services.
