More than just a domain name
Every domain comes packed with premium features at no extra cost.
Free WHOIS privacy
Keep your name, address, and contact details out of the public WHOIS database, free of charge on every domain where the registry allows it.
Free SSL certificate
Every domain includes a free SSL certificate, so traffic is encrypted and visitors see the trusted padlock in their browser.
Instant activation
Your domain goes live the moment you register. No waiting and no delays, so you can start building right away.
Auto-renewal
Turn on auto-renewal and never lose a domain to an expired registration. We remind you before every renewal, too.
DDoS-protected DNS
Your DNS runs behind always-on DDoS protection, so even large attacks cannot knock your domain offline or slow it down.
Global anycast network
Your DNS is answered from dozens of locations across six continents. Every visitor is served from the nearest one, so your domain resolves fast worldwide.
Instant global propagation
Change a DNS record once and it syncs automatically to every location in seconds. There is nothing extra to configure.
Resilient uptime
With no single point of failure across the network, your DNS keeps answering even if an entire data center goes offline.
Full DNS management
Manage every record type from one simple dashboard, including A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, and NS. Point your domain wherever you need.
DNSSEC
Add a cryptographic signature to your DNS so visitors can trust that the answers they get are genuine and have not been tampered with.
Expert support
Our domain specialists are ready by email and support ticket to help with DNS, transfers, or anything else, and we answer fast.
Frequently asked questions
How do I register a domain name?
Search for the name you want. If it is available, press Add to basket, choose how many years you want it for, fill in the registrant details and check out. Most domains are registered within a minute of payment and show up in your client area right away. A few extensions, such as .se and .nu, ask for an identity check first, which can add a short delay.
Can I transfer my domain from another registrar?
Yes, most domains can move to us. At your current registrar, unlock the domain and get its authorization code, also called an EPP code, and keep it at hand, because the transfer needs it. Then search for the domain here. It shows as Taken, with a link to transfer it to us: follow it, choose how many years you want, fill in the registrant details and check out. A transfer usually takes five to seven days and normally extends your registration, and your site and email keep working the whole time. Most registries block a transfer within 60 days of a registration or a previous transfer, so a new domain may have to wait.
Read the step-by-step transfer guideWhat is WHOIS privacy and is it included?
WHOIS is a public directory of domain owners. Privacy protection replaces your name, address, phone number, and email in that directory with protected details, which cuts down on spam and keeps your information private. You stay the owner either way. It is free on every extension that allows it, though some registries insist that certain details stay public. To turn it on or off for a domain, contact our support team.
How long can I register a domain for?
It depends on the extension, as each one sets its own registration periods. You choose the billing term, the number of years, at checkout, from whatever that extension allows. Whichever period you choose, we remind you before it runs out, and you can turn on auto-renewal so it renews on its own.
What happens when my domain expires?
An expired domain can stop working straight away, so it is worth not letting it get that far. You may still be able to get it back for a while afterwards, but many registries move it into a redemption period first and charge their own restore fee to bring it back out. After that the domain is released and anyone can register it. With auto-renewal on and a card on file, we email you a month ahead, renew about two weeks before the date and send you a receipt. If we cannot charge automatically, or auto-renewal is off, we email you 30, 14, 7, 3 and 1 days before the date instead. The safest thing you can do is turn on auto-renewal and keep a valid card on file.
Do you provide DNS management?
Yes. Every domain can use our four nameservers, which answer from a global anycast network with always-on DDoS protection, so your domain resolves quickly wherever your visitors are and stays reachable under attack. If your website is hosted with us, you manage your DNS records, such as A, CNAME, and MX, from your hosting control panel. If you would rather keep DNS somewhere else, you can set your own nameservers at any time from the client area.
Can I use my domain with any hosting provider?
Yes, and you are never locked in. Point your domain wherever you like by setting another provider’s nameservers, and change them any time in the client area. There is nothing to request and nobody to wait for. A nameserver change can take up to 48 hours to reach everyone on the internet, which is normal and settles on its own. And if you ever want to move the domain itself to another registrar, you can request its authorization code in the client area too.
