Searching for a domain
Check whether a domain name is free, see its price and add it to your basket.

Before you register a domain, you search to see whether it is free. Dotweb checks your name in seconds.
Start a search
Type the name you want into the domain search on the Domains page or the home page, then press Search. You can enter just the name, for example mystore, or a full domain, for example mystore.com.
The results open in a window over the page, so you can try more names without losing your place.
Read the results
Each result shows the domain, whether you can have it, and its price:
- Available means you can register it now. Press Add to basket to order it. See Registering a domain.
- Taken means it is already registered. If it is yours, the result offers to transfer it to Dotweb. See Transferring a domain to Dotweb.
Sale prices are for the first year
When you see a reduced price, it usually applies to the first registration period only. The domain renews later at its standard price. Prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout.
